Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about getting pierced. I had my ears pierced at Wal-Mart on two different occasions when I was a very young girl. Neither piercings lasted long and were painful to remove. I’ve since been informed that the piercing guns they use are some of the worst things for the job. Now that I think about it, I don’t think Wal-Mart even performs piercings anymore. At least not around where I live. I think my ears look just fine without any jewelry adorning them and in fact I think I’d look a bit on the ridiculous side if I tried it again.
That’s not the sort of piercing I’m going to talk about in this post. No, my interest lies in tongue, nipple and genital piercing. I’ve long been interested in getting my tongue pierced, but I’ve always been wary of the possible ill effects. I once saw a girl in a nudie mag with a die barbell in her tongue and thought that was the coolest thing ever. I like navel piercings as well (on females only), but I’ll never get one with the belly that I have. 1) I don’t think it looks good on people with large bellies 2) It’ll rub against my fat, especially when I sit down.
Nipple and genital piercings are fairly new interests for me and ones that I’ve been researching online. D and I had talked about me getting my clithood done, especially the part about me having to spread my legs and bare my cunt to a stranger. Very titillating. There are a few different genital piercings that can be done, but I’m very fond of the look of the vertical hood piercing.
As for nipple piercings, I like the ones shown here, but I want both of mine to be horizontal. One of my offline friends has both nipples pierced and we’ve talked about what she went through during the procedure itself and during her healing period. However, my situation is different because when I was 21 I was diagnosed with fibrocystic breast condition. I was supposed to have the cysts checked regularly from the time of diagnosis but I never have. Time, money, and/or transportation were always issues. I’ve had problems with my left nipple since then, so I definitely need to be checked out to see if piercing can be greenlighted or not.
For my tongue, I like this basic piercing. I’m still wary about getting it done, but my offline friend and a few other people I know haven’t had any problems with theirs. I’m definitely considering it, though. I can’t afford any of the piercings (or the check up) right now, but I might have a job later this month and who knows what’ll happen then.
It’s definitely nice to think about, especially how the genital and nipple piercings often increase sensitivity for the pierced. Aesthetics and pleasure are a good combo, no?
No way. NO! No one’s getting near my genitals, tongue or nipples with sharp pointy things.
Not ever.
But if you do Kristi, can I have a peek?
Fred
I love my tongue ring. A lot. Easy to get, quick to heal, I forget it’s there.
I’m petrified of my nipples losing sensation, and I hear those are painful as hell.
I used to have my hood. Another easy piercing. Profligacy wants me to get it again. He also wants me to do my labia. I’m considering it.
Fred: You should know by now that I’ll post pictures of them if I get them done.
Britni: Yeah, the quick healing of a tongue piercing is definitely a plus. My nipples don’t have much sensation to lose, so I hope that it has the opposite effect for me. I hear they’re painful as well. I’ve considered labia piercings but the look just doesn’t appeal to me. I’ll never say never, though.
I had a genital lorum piercing a while ago. It was my first piercing EVER. It was a MAGICAL experience to say the least. It was more of a scene than a procedure. I always get a warm feeling when I remember that night.
I’ve known a few women with clit piercings who initially loved them but then ended up having problems with numbness later on. So the wifey didn’t get anything done.
Good luck what ever you get!
Thanks, Leigh!
I have to agree with Fred–sharp pointy things near my goodies or tongue just about scares me shitless. The only two piercings I’ve been longing for are my eyebrow, and a Monroe (a.k.a. that fake silver beauty mark).
But I would totally be down for watching you recieve one. =D
lol Maybe I’ll get to film it. :-p
I’ve had my tongue pierced since I was 18. I’ll be 21 for the ninth year in a row this April. (I know! Isn’t that bizarre, getting stuck at 21? I’m so stoked!) My son tore it shortly after I got it pierced and I got a slight infection. So, word to the wise… Don’t stick your tongue out at a toddler, at least till it heals. They WILL grab your tongue ring.
But I rinsed with Listerine like it was going out of style, and took Advil according to the directions on the bottle, and sucked on ice like it was nobody’s business and it was fine. No swelling or pain.
It didn’t hurt when I got it done, either. I mean, a slight, SLIGHT prick. Less than getting an IV put in. Definitely less than getting your ears pierced. I heard a soft *snap* when the needle went through the last layer of skin on my tongue. That was the worst part. Then they threaded the barbell and sent me to the sink to rinse. It bled for maybe ten seconds?
It didn’t swell at all. But see the aforementioned Listerine-Advil-ice-sucking comment. My ex wasn’t as careful as I was (we got them done at the same time by the same person)… or, you know, at all. His swelled up so bad he couldn’t talk or eat for a week.
I’ve lost and swallowed and bitten through the beads about a hundred times. I usually poke a toothpick or incense stick through the hole until I can replace the barbell/bead. But other than when my son tore it, it’s never gotten infected or sore or anything.
I love mine. Can’t imagine being without it. And M won’t let me take it out, anyway. Lol.
OK, this bothers me:
“I’ve lost and swallowed and bitten through the beads about a hundred times.”
If you meant to reassure me with your story you failed. lol :-p
